This year's Japanese Speech Contest organised by the Japanese Language Teachers Association of SA (JLTASA) will be held on Saturday 8 September.

The winner of High School Senior division and Open Division will compete with other states/territories winners at the National Finals which will be held at the Japan Foundation Sydney Office on Saturday 6th October 2018.

The SA Japanese Speech Contest has four categories. These are:
1. High School Senior Division
2. Open Division
3. Open Beginner Division
4. Background Speaker Division
