In early 2015, The Koinobori Project saw five Adelaide schools create carp streamers, or koinobori, as part of a cultural exchange with our sister city Himeji in Japan.

The koinobori were displayed in Victoria Square, Adelaide and again at Kodomo no Hi Japan Festival, before being sent to Himeji.

Our koinobori were recently displayed at a large festival immediately in front of Himeji Castle, with the locals being touched by the words written on them by the South Australian students.
